Theme : " Let us give thanks to the Lord for the year that is ending "
Text : 1 Timothy 2: 1-4
1. I therefore urge, before all things, to make prayers, supplications, petitions, thanksgiving, for all men, 2.for kings and for all those who are exalted in dignity, so that we lead a peaceful and quiet life, in all piety and honesty. 3. This is good and pleasing to God our Savior, 4. who wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Let us remember:
During this entire year that is ending, we have raised all kinds of prayers: supplications, requests, thanksgiving. We return to the charge to give excellent thanksgiving to God our Father, who is also the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Give thanks for kings, business owners, politicians, public health officials, military, police, magistrates, and all those who are elevated in dignity. Let us give thanks for those who have helped us to lead “a peaceful and quiet life” in all piety and honesty. Let us give thanks for the clergymen who brought us before the throne of God to learn the Word of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Give thanks for everything! Our God is full of love; his will is that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth: He is the truth, he is the way, he is the life. Let us give thanks to God. Excellent Thanksgiving Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
