Theme: "Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God to help us" Text: Hebrews 10:11-18

11. And while every priest daily does the service and often offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins, 12. he, after having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down forever at the right of God, 13. now waiting for his enemies to become his footstool. 14. For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified. 15. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after having said, 16. This is the covenant which I will make with them, After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my statutes in their hearts, and write them in their minds, he adds: 17. And I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more. 18. Now where there is forgiveness of sins, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Let's remember:

The priests, servants of God offer sacrifices every day for the forgiveness of the sins of their flock, but these always fall back into the same sins. The activity becomes so cyclical that it requires the intervention of the High Priest, Jesus Christ. By the sacrifice offered at the cross of Golgotha, Christ has completed his sacrificial work once and for all. He will never come back to the cross to offer himself again as the servants of God do. Now Christ is seated at the right hand of God to help us. Sitting could be likened to a moment of rest, a moment of inactivity, no, it is not. Christ intercedes on our behalf. He guides us, he teaches us, he keeps us brief, he works day and night, without respite. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus continues to help us. He inscribes his laws in our hearts to connect us more to Him and to sanctify us. He writes them in our minds so that we are more than ever the flock of his pasture. This is what makes the sheep recognize the voice of the Shepherd if he calls him. When such a work has been done for our welfare, we can rejoice in the God of our salvation, in Jesus our King. Let us say THANK YOU for the perfect sacrifice he made without asking our authorization, without any demands and which today becomes the key to our salvation. The icing on the cake, Jesus sweeps away all the memories of our pagan past with the back of his hand. When he has forgiven our sins, he forgets them and does not return to them. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
