God and Our properties

Theme: “ God and Our properties Text: Mark 14:3-9

3. As Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, a woman entered while he was at table. She held an alabaster vase, which contained a priceless perfume of pure nard; and, having broken the vessel, she poured the perfume on the head of Jesus. 4. Some expressed their indignation among themselves: What is the use of losing this perfume? 5. It could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor. And they were angry with this woman. 6. But Jesus said, Leave her alone. Why are you hurting him? She did a good deed towards me; 7. for you always have the poor with you, and you can do good to them whenever you want, but you do not always have me. 8. She did what she could; she embalmed my body beforehand for burial. 9. Truly I tell you, wherever the good news is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of this woman.

Let's remember:

In the Bible, women teach us the best lessons. When men plan to make money with a perfume that doesn't belong to them; this woman was in deep adoration. Let us know that our properties of great value must be put at the service of God and his work. If we worship God without associating our possessions, then our worship is partial. When it says, I and my household will serve the Lord; this includes people and their property. If it is said: “Let all that is in me praise his Holy Name” by analogy one can also say: that all that is mine praise his holy Name. King David said in his prayer “Everything comes from you (God), and we receive from your hand what we offer you” 1 Chronicles 29:14b. It is not a question of stripping oneself or stripping the people of God; but it is about valuing the God who supplies our needs. In need, it is He who blesses us; in return let us return the elevator to Him. It is the properties of great value and not the debris that God expects of us; and He will open for us the floodgates of heaven, He will pour out His blessing in abundance (Malachi 3:10). The tithe is part of our possessions. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
