Fraternity, one of the facets of communion

Theme: “Fraternity, one of the facets of communion“ Text: Ephesians 2:19-20

19. So therefore, you are no longer strangers, nor outsiders; but you are fellow citizens of the saints, people of the household of God. 20. You have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone.

Let's remember:

Fraternity is the bond existing between persons considered as members of the human family; it is also a deep feeling of this bond. It is therefore a particular bond establishing fraternal relations. We can speak of fraternity in arms, institute, service, art… Fraternity implies tolerance and mutual respect for differences, thus contributing to peace. As for communion, it is the union of people who share the same faith. Synonym: affinity, harmony, union, alliance. It is the community of ideas. Communion is a union, a deep agreement, a sympathy between people. Let's understand that the two expressions come together in their explanation. In fact communion is a uniform belief of several persons, which unites them under the same Head in the same Church. Fraternity being one of the faces of communion, requires sharing, love in action, support, commitment to one another. At a more advanced level, this results in the personal offering of one's life for another. It is the joy of being part of the same family, of having God as the same Father and the same Lord. The fraternity facet of communion removes the barriers of separation, we become fellow citizens of the saints, people of the house of God. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
