Theme: “Divine Wisdom”
Text: Proverbs 15:1-2
1. A gentle answer calms fury, But a harsh word stirs up anger. 2. The tongue of the wise makes knowledge sweet, and the mouth of fools spreads folly.
Let's remember:
Divine wisdom is not violent. She is gentle and peaceful. She lives in the heart of a skillful person who loves love and peace for her neighbor. It is the gentleness that characterizes anyone with divine wisdom. Gentleness in actions, gentleness in the look, gentleness in language... When a person with divine wisdom speaks, everyone would like to listen to him and appropriate everything that comes out of his mouth. His words ease tensions and dilute concerns. When fury reigns in a place, divine wisdom must be used to calm it. This requires gentle and well-controlled responses. No inappropriate remarks should be made because any harsh words excite anger, violence, quarrels or even fights. Those who often speak harsh words have never succeeded in reconciling their fellow men. Ordinary people don't like to follow people who say harsh things. Harsh speech is synonymous with absurdity and nonsense. It distances us from divine wisdom. Now, when a person speaks a word with divine wisdom, even if the same word was previously spoken by a fool, the world will appreciate the version enveloped in divine wisdom differently. A word can be corrective but when it is delivered under divine wisdom, it soothes. Let us not be like fools, for their mouths pour out folly. Excellent Saturday. Amen
