Theme : “ Community of properties ”
Text : Acts 2:44-47
44. All who believed were in the same place, and they had everything in common. 45. They sold their properties and their goods, and they divided the product among all, according to the needs of each. 46. They were daily together assiduous in the temple, they broke bread in the houses, and took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, 47. praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added daily to the Church those who were being saved.
Let's remember:
In our African countries, this community of property can be likened to the “Mbongi” which is a place of reunion where everyone brings the meal they intend to share with fellow citizens. In these same countries, when someone lacks land to cultivate, it is not uncommon to see the other members mobilize to find him a space for agriculture. This goes even in the field marriage; there are families of good ethics who unite their children in order to encourage good morals to be perpetuated. These examples which are in the process of disappearing only serve to demonstrate the surge of love which was practiced in the past. There were rarely conflicts because the love of neighbor prevailed. It was after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that the early church came into being. Under the impulse of the Holy Spirit, selfish attitudes had disappeared in the Christian environment. And when there was someone who broke the rule, God struck him dead like Ananias and Sapphira. However today, even the couples hide the properties, each one invests in secret. May the properties of this world not separate us. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
