Theme : " Cease with betrayals "
Text : Psalms 55: 12-14
11. (55:12) Wickedness is in the midst of it, and deceit and deceit never quit its places. 12. (55:13) It is not an enemy who insults me, I would endure it; It is not my adversary who rises against me, I would hide from him. 13. (55:14) It is you, whom I esteemed my equal, You, my confidant and my friend! 14. (55:15) Together we lived in a sweet intimacy, We went with the crowd to the house of God!
Let us remember :
David was going through very difficult times as he was grieved at the cunning and betrayal of Akhitophel conjured up with Absalom (2 Samuel 15 and 16). So badly tested that he would have preferred to move from the city to the desert. In his opinion, the abode of animals is less worse than the city of men. Obviously, when the betrayal comes from her trusted man associated with her own child; psychological shock can be hard to overcome. Fortunately, the Lord knows how to support the afflicted. Whatever the origin of the betrayal, whatever the mode of action; let us not lose sight of the fact that God our Father remains the ideal help which never fails in distress. Let us learn to make God our one, only and true refuge. A close friend, a confidant can be the author of the betrayal that torments your life.
