Theme : " Aspire to the perfect stature of Christ "
Text : Luke 10: 21-24
21. At this very moment Jesus trembled for joy at the Holy Spirit, and he said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and the clever, and of what you have revealed to the children. Yes, Father, I praise you for having wanted it so. 22. All things have been given to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, nor who the Father is except the Son, and whomsoever the Son wills. reveal it. 23. And turning to the disciples he said to them in particular, Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! 24. For I say to you, that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Let us remember :
The perfect stature of Christ is crowned with the Holy Spirit. It is this personality of God who gives strength, wisdom, joy, success and knowledge to those who aspire to the excellence of the Christian life. Without being led by the Holy Spirit, one cannot claim to aspire to the stature of Christ; much less to his perfect stature. Now, it is the Holy Spirit who reveals the hidden things; it is He who teaches us the person of God. All revelations draw their essence from the Holy Spirit. And so the Holy Spirit is the preserve of the children, of the children of God. A great scientist devoid of the Holy Ghost cannot compete and triumph over a Christian filled with the Holy Ghost. The Spirit gives everything desired by the Son of God as it is from Christ who obtains whatever He asks for. Since we can describe the stature of Christ, let us rejoice that it is revealed to us by the Spirit so that we may aspire to that stature. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
