A Savior is born to us

Tuesday December 26, 2023

Theme: “A Savior is born to us

Text: Isaiah 41:8-14

8. But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham whom I have loved! 9. You, whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from a far country, to whom I said: You are my servant; I have chosen you, and do not reject you. 10. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; Do not look worried, for I am your God; I strengthen you, I come to your aid, I support you with my triumphant right hand. 11. Behold, all who are angry with you will be put to shame, and ashamed; They will be reduced to nothing, they will perish, Those who argue against you. 12. You will seek them and find them no more, those who caused you strife; They will be reduced to nothing, reduced to nothing, Those who waged war against you. 13. For I am the LORD your God, who strengthens your right hand, who says to you: Fear not, I will help you. 14. Fear not, ye worm of Jacob, weak remnant of Israel; I will help you, says the LORD, and the Holy One of Israel is your savior.

Let's remember:

A Savior is born to us. God visited his people. Isaiah 40:1 spoke to us of “Comfort my people”; it's done. There is no greater consolation than welcoming the Savior who is invested with the power of consolation. The Lord multiplies the words of tenderness and love: “my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, Race of Abraham whom I loved.” The Savior can only be sent to a people that the Lord cherishes, the people he loves, the people he does not want to abandon, the people he does not want to lose. It is to such a people that God sends the only Savior that exists to keep them for Himself as a people acquired. God sends us a Savior as proof that he does not reject us; on the contrary, he chose us. The Lord God reassures us when He says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Do not look worriedly, for I am your God; I strengthen you, I come to your aid, I uphold you with my triumphant right hand.” He who receives the Savior can no longer worry because salvation, deliverance, peace are now his share. Conversely, all our detractors, those who argue against us; all will be confounded, they will be put to shame, they will be reduced to nothing, they will perish. All those who provoked quarrel with us will be reduced to nothing, they will be reduced to nothing, those who made war against us. The Savior is on our side, defeat is on the side of our enemies. We will seek them, and find them no more; the Savior would have conquered them. Therefore, let us strengthen ourselves because a Savior has been born to us. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
