Theme : " Spiritual ignorance "
Text : Jeremiah 5: 1-4
1. Walk through the streets of Jerusalem, Look, get informed, seek in the places, If there is a man, if there is one Who practices righteousness, who clings to the truth, And I forgive Jerusalem. 2. Even when they say: The Lord liveth! They are falsely swearing. 3. Do not thy eyes see the truth, Lord? You hit them, and they don't feel a thing; You are consuming them, and they do not want to receive instruction; They take on a face harder than a rock, They refuse to convert. 4. I said: These are only the little ones; They are acting foolish, because they do not know the way of the Lord, the law of their God.
Let us remember :
Our spiritual ignorance often escapes us as we do not regard ourselves as doing wrong. Self-judgment or even self-criticism is a tedious exercise that requires a lot of lucidity and modesty. "You can't sit at the window to watch each other go by in the street" says Auguste Comte. May each do introspection of his life with the Lord to find the loopholes of ignorance in order to stand out from them. Our praises are falsified before God who finds no sincerity in them except falsehoods. When the Lord God points us in one direction, we take another. When he hits us, we cry and sincerely refuse to repent. Our hearts are getting harder than rock. It is ignorance that makes us resistant to divine guidance. Let us be faithful to the voice of God through blind obedience; to come out of spiritual ignorance. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
