Theme: "Preparing for the coming of the Lord" Text: Isaiah 63: 1-6

1. Who is this that cometh from Edom, out of Botrah, in red garments, in shining garments, and standing up with pride in the fulness of his strength? -It is I who have promised salvation, Who have the power to deliver. 2. Why are your clothes red, and your clothes like the clothes of the treader in the tub? 3. I was alone in treading the winepress, and no man of the peoples was with me; I have trodden them down in my anger, I have crushed them in my fury; Their blood spurted out on my clothes, and I have soiled all my clothes. 4. For a day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. 5. I was watching, and no one to help me; I was amazed, and no one to support me; So my arm helped me, And my fury gave me support. 6. I have trodden down the peoples in my anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I have shed their blood on the earth.

Let us remember:

This is an excerpt from a dialogue between Jerusalem and Jesus Christ the Deliverer about how deliverance will take place. In order not to be on the sidelines of this deliverance, each must prepare his way so as not to be thrown out of Jerusalem. Christ is coming from Edom, from Botrah for the slaughter of the nations. Who will deliver Jerusalem? Who will deliver you? Who will deliver me? Who will deliver our families, our nations? No other savior besides Jesus. Obviously, Christ's answer is clear and blunt; he says: It's me. Jesus will come to judge the peoples and nations of the world. No one will be spared. This judgment will be effected with power. Blood of carnage will spurt out everywhere, for no wicked will be spared; Jesus will not feel sorry for the justifications, cries and lamentations of sinners. Let us beware now, for the day of God's wrath is coming. Let us prepare our hearts for his coming, so that he will find us sanctified. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
