Theme : " Preparing for the coming of the Lord "
Text : Isaiah 59: 9-15
9. Therefore the judgment of deliverance is far from us, and salvation does not reach us; We are waiting for the light, and here is the darkness, The clarity, and we walk in the dark. 10. We grope like the blind along a wall, We grope like those who have no eyes; We stumble at noon as at night, In the midst of plenty we are like the dead. 11. We all growl like bears, We groan like doves; We're looking for deliverance, and it's not there, Salvation, and it's far from us. 12. For our transgressions are many before thee, and our sins bear witness against us; Our transgressions are with us, And we know our crimes. 13. We have been guilty and unfaithful to Jehovah; We have forsaken our God; We uttered violence and revolt, Conceived and meditated in the heart of words of lies; 14. And deliverance is withdrawn, And salvation stands at a distance; For truth stumbles in the public square, And righteousness cannot approach. 15. The truth is passed away, and he who turns away from evil is stripped. -The LORD sees with an indignant look that there is no more righteousness.
Let us remember:
The various unworthy practices that we maintain on a daily basis have damaged our intimacy with our Creator. We have succeeded in expelling the Savior of Mankind from our lives. Worse, the way the world projects life, it is as if we want to drive out the Lord; let him go to another universe. The occurrence of catastrophes and other pandemics demonstrates how our prayers have become ineffective in the face of God. We are screaming and we don't get an expected response. The world is groaning everywhere, but repentance is rare. Incredulity is growing and yet the Word is being preached all the time and in all places. The human heart is now charged with insensitivity which makes it resistant to repentance. We are guilty before God; we play the game of sanctification while being jokers.
