Theme : " Be reconciled with God "
Text : Ephesians 2: 14-22
14. For he is our peace, he who made one of the two, and who broke down the wall of separation, enmity, 15. having made void by his flesh the law of ordinances in his statutes, in order to to create in himself with both one new man, establishing peace, 16. and to reconcile them, both in one body, with God through the cross, destroying through it the enmity. 17. He came to proclaim peace to you who were far off, and peace to those who were near; 18. for through him we both have access to the Father, in one Spirit. 19. So then you are no longer strangers, nor outsiders; but you are fellow citizens of the saints, people of the house of God. 20. You were built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone. 21. In him the whole building, well co-ordinated, rises to be a holy temple in the Lord. 22. In him you are also built up to be a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Let us remember :
The sacrificial work done by Jesus Christ must not be trampled on. Its undoubtedly exemplary nature should motivate us to move towards perfection. There should no longer be any excuses to cover up our loopholes. Christ broke down the wall of separation, the enmity that took us away from Him, and made us slaves to satan. Now we can destroy the power of the flesh through reconciliation with God. We must be reconciled with God to become a new creation. Christ had already paid the price, he had marked the way, he served as firstfruits, he displayed grace, he sent the Holy Spirit. What could be better than entering this glorious journey traced by our Lord? Let's go in the same direction as Christ and we will come to reconciliation with God. On this path, God will give us to be reconciled with our neighbor; it will establish peace and therefore love. Let us accept to become people of the house of God because outside there are ravening wolves who seize lost and weakened sheep. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
