Theme: “Your offering is an act of faith that speaks in your favor”

Text: Psalms 54:8-9

8. I will willingly offer you sacrifices; I will praise your name, O LORD; for he is favorable, 9.  For he delivers me from all distress, And my eyes rejoice at the sight of my enemies.

Let's remember:

God made an offering to the world called Jesus Christ. This offering became our advocate, our intercessor, it is this offering that fights for us. God’s offering is an act of love that prays on our behalf. We know that Christ died; nay, he is risen, is at the right hand of God, and makes intercession for us (Romans 8:24). Likewise also the Spirit helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what it is appropriate for us to ask in our prayers. But the Spirit himself intercedes with groanings that cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). In the intimacy of our personal communion with God, let us make heartfelt offerings to Him, which will touch His sensitivity and brighten His Fatherly heart. An offering made with a good heart is only as valuable as the sincere love attached to it. An offering may seem worthless in the eyes of men, but if it is made from a good heart, it far exceeds all other offerings that are not made from a good heart.Each offering made from a good heart speaks and intercedes in favor of the sacrificer. When we make an offering from the goodness of our heart, we expect nothing in return because there is more happiness in giving than in receiving. Each offering must be an act of faith.
