Theme: “You will love your neighbor as yourself, even those who live with disabilities»

Text: Psalms 41:1-2

1. (41:1) To the chief singer. Psalm of David. (41:2) Blessed is he who is interested in the poor! In the day of calamity the Lord delivers him; 2. (41:3) The Lord keeps him and preserves his life. He is happy on earth, And you do not hand him over to the pleasure of his enemies.

Remember:

Humanity would be better off if each person included love of neighbor in their daily agenda. The love of neighbor must be the target never to be missed at all times. We must always love, and this without counting the benefits already accomplished. Happy is he who is interested in the poor; in the day of calamity the Lord delivers him. When the one who takes care of the poor finds himself faced with a difficulty, Yahweh intervenes on his behalf. Tabitha's example speaks volumes; God had brought her back to life because of her alms to widows. In their prayers, widows reminded God of the good works done by the deceased. The Lord, being a compassionate God who remembers all our good works, came to the aid of the distress of these widows. Thus, he brought the benefactress back to life, much to the delight of the widows. This means that the Eternal preserves the life of those who do useful work for the poor and needy. God protects such people on earth, and comes to deliver them from their enemies. Being deprived is a handicap, but not an end in itself. Excellent Monday. Amen.
