Theme: “You can succeed if you keep your heart right before God”

Text: 1 Timothy 6:11-12

11. As for you, man of God, flee these things, and seek righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were called, and for which you have made a good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Let's remember:

By the help of God through his grace, humans can fight to succeed in life. He can fight against evil. The fight can be waged against the enemy as it can be waged against oneself. The first stage of the battle of faith, whatever it may be, is thought. The good fight begins in the mind. Many of us fail in battles before we even begin them because of our bad thoughts. Misdirecting our thoughts implies mismanaging our heart, which means not having an upright heart before God. Fighting the good fight refers to the human effort to remove weaknesses, disobedience, and all things that oppose God. Fighting the good fight of faith means continuing to obey the Word of God, despite everything. Holding on to this fight is an expression of God's grace, without this grace, no one can resist the fight for a single minute. May God give us grace to fight against everything that sinks our faith. That we think good thoughts, that we pray without ceasing, that we control our speech, that we love our neighbor, that we pursue justice, godliness, faith, charity, patience, gentleness and obedience to God. It is then that our heart will be right before God. Have a great Saturday. Amen
