Theme: “You can succeed if you keep your heart right before God”
Text: Micah 6:8
8. They have made known to you, O man, what is good; And what the LORD requires of you is that you practice justice, that you love mercy, and that you walk humbly with your God.
Let's remember:
God has made known to us what is good. Now, what is good is what is just, moral, consistent with one's will. We can deduce that everything that is immoral, unjust, everything that distances us from God is not good. The Lord God calls us to practice goodness, faith, justice, mercy, love. The Lord recommends to us sanctification, holiness. We can succeed if we keep our hearts right before God. Wanting to succeed without improving our relationship with Yahweh is putting the cart before the horse. It is not possible to want God's assistance and at the same time refuse his precepts. A right heart is an asset to touch the heart of God. It is written in Deuteronomy 30:15. “See, I set before you this day life and good, death and evil. 16. For I charge you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his judgments, that you may live and multiply, and 'LORD your God, bless you... 17. But if your heart turns away, if you do not obey, and if you allow yourself to be led away to worship other gods and to serve them, 18. I will declare today that you will perish, that you will not prolong your days…”. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
