Theme: “With Jesus Christ, let us move from mediocrity to excellence” Text: Ruth 1:16
16. Ruth answered: Do not urge me to leave you, to return from you! Where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God;
Let's remember:
A wise mind perceives its destiny in the distance and works to get there. This is not the case with mediocre minds who quickly give in to discouragement by abandoning what they had undertaken. Losing a piece of the fight does not indicate mediocrity because the best is yet to come as long as we do not give up. Ruth’s example is a perfect lesson worthy of being taught in leadership schools. When Orpah, Naomi's other daughter-in-law, gave in to her refusal to continue the journey with her, Ruth put her life on the line; even if it means serving a foreign God and going far from his relatives. The pursuit of excellence calls us to go in the ideal direction where the reward preserved by GOD is found. Satan can use people close to us to bring us the gospel of discouragement and mediocrity. Let us be on the lookout for the voice of the Holy Spirit who gently whispers to us the right attitude to observe if we want to achieve excellence. Orpah had chosen mediocrity while Ruth had chosen the side of excellence. Their paths were opposite depending on their aspirations. Even Naomi didn't see the excellence Ruth feared coming when she clung to her. There are people who harbor excellence without knowing it; despite their words and actions bordering on mediocrity. Thanks to a conquering daughter-in-law, Naomi was able to move from mediocrity to excellence; from discouragement to comfort. Ruth's search for excellence led her to discover Boaz, Naomi's relative, who had the key to switching from a life of mediocrity to a life of excellence. Let us have the flair and the gumption to quickly separate ourselves from mediocrity in order to navigate excellence. Have a great Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
