Theme : “Widows in action” Text : 1 Timothy 5:5
5. She who is truly a widow, and who has remained in isolation, puts her hope in God and perseveres night and day in supplications and prayers.
Let's remember:
Many widows do not remain in isolation; they carry out activities that are contrary to morality and modesty, which would be expected of them. This choice is theirs and no one can dissuade them except their own conscience. As for the widows who remain in isolation, those who know how to contain themselves and who honor the Lord but also their life; make them stronger. They must continue to place their hope in God. They must not turn worried glances here and there. The Lord God keeps his attention on them as it is written: "The father of the orphans, the defender of the widows, it is God in his holy dwelling" Psalms 68.5. Widows must remain in action to constantly seek the face of God. Inaction is a bad thing because it prevents you from moving forward and persevering in faith. We must avoid falling into discouragement or lack of self-confidence. To remain in action is to persevere night and day in supplications and prayers. Anyone who is united with another by a marriage bond is not immune to widowhood. So let's take care of widows / widowers because it is an almost obligatory passage for us or for our loved ones. Help them stay true to God. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
