Theme: “What promotes sustainable development Text: 2 Thessalonians 3:10-15

10. For, when we were at your house, we expressly said to you: If someone does not want to work, let him not eat either. 11. We learn, however, that there are some among you who live in disorder, who do not work, but who occupy themselves with trivialities. 12. We invite such people, and we exhort them by the Lord Jesus Christ, to eat their own bread, working peacefully. 13. For you, brothers, do not tire of doing good. 14. And if anyone does not obey what we say by this letter, mark him down, and have no communication with him, so that he may experience shame. 15. Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

Let's remember:

It is possible to live in lasting precariousness depending on the lifestyle we lead. He who leads a life of lethargy and idleness, that one will be a beggar; it will be dependent on these donors. But it is possible not to depend on others, to be independent and lead a good life thanks to the work of our hands. The orientation we give to our life, the choices we make, are factors either of our sustainable development or of our misfortune. But the grace and mercy of God catches up with us to reorient our life towards the best tomorrow; provided that we let ourselves be guided. Let's not lead the life of a leech that sucks the blood of others at the risk of their lives. Let's not be a slave to any donor. Let's learn from the ant instead. Proverbs 30:25. “The ants, people without strength, prepare their food in the summer”. Isn't this the meaning of projection, forecasting, sustainable development? Let's be really consistent and work in a sustainable way with the care of saving to guarantee our tomorrows. We love work whose benefits can be long-lasting. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
