What promotes sustainable development

Thursday February 2, 2023

Theme: “What promotes sustainable development Text: Malachi 3:8-12

8. Does a man deceive God? For you deceive me, And you say: How have we deceived you? In tithes and offerings. 9. You are stricken with a curse, And you deceive me, The whole nation! 10. Bring to the treasury all the tithes, That there may be food in my house; So put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts. And you will see if I do not open the floodgates of heaven for you, If I do not shower you with blessing in abundance. 11. For you I will threaten the devourer, and he shall not destroy the fruits of the ground for you, neither shall the vine be barren in your fields, saith the LORD of hosts. 12. All the nations shall call you blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, saith the LORD of hosts.

Let's remember:

By his omnipotence, God himself can supply his house without counting on the contribution of humans. If it is self-existing, it can also self-supply without any human input. But it is so that the law of the watered sprinkler applies and also to teach us to get involved in priestly work; finally to love God with our possessions. It is for these reasons that God brings us to this application. Development is sustainable when nurtured by God. God is the source of our income; why not take your share before you start spending? Why will we continue to lie to God when we come before his face? Is it possible to hide something from God without him knowing? Doesn't the case of Sapphira and Ananias teach us? 1 Chronicles 29:14. “For who am I and who are my people, that we may make these offerings to you willingly? Everything comes from you, and we receive from your hand what we offer you”. Let's bring back to God what he gives us to avoid living again the ephemeral development. It is so that our plantation (the work of our hands) may always be under divine protection. Excellent Thursday. Amen Alain Louz.-
