Theme: “We are set apart for God”
Text: Judges 13:6-7
6. The woman went and told her husband; A man of God came to me, and he looked like an angel of God, a fearsome look. I didn't ask him where he was from, and he didn't let me know his name. 7. But he said to me, You will conceive, and you will bear a son; and now drink neither wine nor strong liquor, nor eat anything unclean, because this child will be consecrated to God from the womb until the day of his death.
Let's remember:
It's too late, we are already consecrated to God from our mother's womb. There is no point in procrastinating anymore because our fate is already sealed and this decision is irreversible. We are members of God's people, we are the flock of his pasture. Let us rejoice because we belong to a powerful and strong God. It's just wonderful to be part of the closed circle of God's chosen ones since mom's womb. This is a great cause for joy and gratitude to be chosen by God, sons of the kingdom of heaven. We must be convinced of this. We belong to God. The better we integrate it, the better we behave, the better we will please God. Obedience to God would come from accepting our identity in Christ. Whoever knows that he comes from God, would know how to stand before this God, he would know how to revere him and please him. Being set apart is an immense privilege but also an enormous responsibility that weighs on our shoulders. This requires being a model of obedience and personal but also family and societal discipline. When we are chosen by God, we say goodbye to misconduct. A pregnant woman must be careful with her behavior, the child may be one of God's chosen ones. We must leave everything because the new path is without alcohol, without bad diet, without sin. We must avoid anything that would make us vulnerable and prevent God from acting in us. Being set apart is also called consecration. He who is consecrated by God cannot follow two hares at once. Have a great Monday. Amen
