Theme: “Watch your words!

Text: Proverbs 18:19-21

19. Brothers are more stubborn than a fortified city, and their quarrels are like the bars of a palace. 20. A man’s body is satisfied with the fruit of his mouth, and he is satisfied with the product of his lips. 21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; whoever loves it will eat its fruit.

Let us remember:

Watch your words because they can build an unwanted fortress; just as they have the capacity to destroy our entire inheritance. The word can create yes, but it can also destroy everything. It is through the word that God created the world. Let us understand why all manipulators are famous because of their ability to handle the tongue well. All those who have a gifted tongue attract people to them. But those who speak with difficulty do not have the same success as good speakers. "Watch your words" would mean: let us choose the words to come out; let us sort our expressions, turn our tongue seven times before speaking. He who watches over his words, does not regret what he says. If we watch, nothing destructive will come out of our mouth. The good use of speech can open doors closed to others. It can nourish us and satisfy us. Good words can satisfy a hungry soul because they reassure and bring back lost hope. Let us also know that words kill more people than weapons. Words destroy more families than Satan. Words separate several relationships that can no longer be reconciled. But the opposite is also possible with words. It all depends on the content of our words. So, let us discern before speaking. Let us have the courage to quickly correct what is badly said. Let us resurrect those we kill with our hurtful words. Good words bring back life where death already reigned in the soul. Besides, it is by the Word that we are saved. Excellent Monday. Amen
