Theme: “Vigilance and expectation" Text: Matthew 24:45-51 45. Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has appointed over his people, to give them food in due time? 46. Blessed is that servant whom his master, on his arrival, will find doing so! 47. Truly I tell you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48. But if he is a wicked servant, who says within himself: My master is slow in coming, 49. if he begins to beat his companions, if he eats and drinks with drunkards, 50. the master of this servant will come on a day when he does not expect it and at an hour which he does not know, 51. he will tear him to pieces and give him his share with the hypocrites: there there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Let's remember: The Lord God has set us over his flock to feed it. He has built our faith and asks us to preserve it against the scourges of this evil age which wage war on our souls. The expectation of the Lord Jesus is to see each Christian faithful to the commitments made on the day that we said to follow Jesus and abandon sin. We must then work according to the expectations of the one who called us from darkness and installed us in his admirable light. Let us do the will of Jesus Christ by watching over the flock of God. We must feed God's people every day and avoid starving them. We also have a mission to water it with pure water. The little herd must not stray into the meadows. No sheep shall drown in the waters when we lead them to water. Let us choose smooth and peaceful waters instead of leading the herd to troubled waters. Jesus must not lose a single sheep through our fault. Let us put seriousness and vigilance in the work we accomplish so that the Lord God will judge us favorably on the day of his return. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
