Theme: “To be in abundant grace“
Text: James 1:17-18
17. Every excellent grace and every perfect gift descends from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is neither change nor shadow of variation. 18. He begot us according to his will, by the word of truth, so that we might be the firstfruits of his creatures.
Let's remember:
Even when a favor goes through a physical person, the fact remains that God remains the only source of grace. We tend to believe that what comes from God must be a miracle, something that falls from the sky. It is important to know that God uses any creature to send a message of love. Numbers 22:23-31 shows us how God made a donkey speak to show Balaam (among others) that it is from Him that all graces come. This is why we must preserve our right relationship with God the repository of grace. He dispenses it according to his sovereignty regardless of our pressure, our prayers, our faith, our brief commitment nothing can change a plan that God has already decided. A grace can be ordinary as it can be abundant. It can be temporary just as it can persist for decades or even centuries. During the reign of Solomon there was peace and prosperity. 1 Chronicles 22:9. “Behold, a son will be born to you, who will be a man of rest, and to whom I will give rest by delivering him from all his enemies round about; for Solomon shall be his name, and I will bring upon Israel peace and tranquility during his life.” God is the source of all grace.
