Theme : " This God who was, who is and who is to come "
Text : Isaiah 40: 17-20
17. All the nations are like nothing before him; they are nothing and vanity to him. 18. Who do you want to compare God to? And what image will you make its equal? 19. A workman melts an idol, and a goldsmith covers it with gold, and welds silver chains on it. 20. He whom poverty obliges to give little Chooses a wood which resists worm; He procures a capable worker, To make an idol that does not shake.
Let us remember:
The dazzling splendor of God sparkles beyond the ends of the world. His glory is spreading everywhere at once without stopping. Nothing can have authority before His face since authority finds its foundation in Him. All the nations are like nothing before him; they are nothing and vanity to him. No nation can command God. No institution can dethrone him. Nothing can substitute for its supreme authority. He is incomparable in the sky, on earth and under the earth. Yahweh is a timeless God. It is not limited in time; He is the God who was, who is and who is to come. There is no cropped image that can represent the Lord. The best workers will not know how to represent the form of God because no human intelligence can grasp his form to represent it in image. The goodness that our God once displayed remains available and always will be. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
