Theme : " This God who was, who is and who is to come "
Text : Isaiah 40: 12-16
12. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and taken the dimensions of the heavens with his palm, and gathered the dust of the earth in a third measure? Who weighed the mountains on the hook, And the hills on the scales? 13. Who has searched the Spirit of the LORD? And who has instructed him with his counsel? 14. With whom did he deliberate to receive instruction? Who taught him the path of righteousness? Who taught him wisdom, And made known the way of understanding? 15. Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket; they are like dust on a scale; Behold, the islands are like fine dust that flies away. 16. Lebanon is not sufficient for the fire, nor its animals for a burnt offering.
Let us remember:
Nothing and no one can compete with God. For millennia, Yahweh has not suffered a blow of old age. He has never had a counselor, he has no supervisor, he has no evaluator to judge his ways. There is no one in the world who can count the years of the existence of the Lord because he is aged for eternity. God is elusive and yet He can take hold of everything. He is immutable while he can move everything. He has no competitor to measure himself against Him and His works. Everyone must bow down to this God who was, who is and who is to come. It keeps the same freshness of yesteryear. It is He who marked out rivers and streams; oceans and seas. He drew the hills, the mountains, the valleys and the plateaus. No one helped him to establish forests, savannas and deserts. This is why this world is like the dust which it can scatter. This is why our lives are in his hands; He alone has the breath of life. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
