Theme : " The Victorious Presence of Christ in His Church: Source of Our Assurance " Text : Malachi 3:17-21

17 They shall be mine, saith the LORD Almighty; they shall be mine on the day that I prepare; I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him, 18 and you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not serve him. 19 For behold, here comes that day, burning like an oven. All arrogant men and all those who do evil will be like straw: the day that comes will burn them up, says the Lord Almighty, it will leave them neither root nor branch. 20 But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness will rise, and healing will be in its rays. You shall come out leaping like calves from a stable; 21 you shall trample down the wicked, for they shall be like dust under the soles of your feet on the day which I prepare, saith the LORD Almighty.

Let's remember:

The assurance of Christians is based on the faithfulness of God. Throughout the ages, the Lord has never failed to fulfill his promises; from generation to generation He manifests the same fidelity without failing. Such fidelity reassures us; it is our anchor; our point of attachment which welds our hope in Him. Christ being victoriously present within his Church, each faithful must find an additional reason to trust in Him. Now, if we are not among the righteous, God will cut us off at the day of judgment; and even before that day. Let us have fear for this horrible day because all arrogant men and all those who do evil will be thrown into the fire like straw. Fire shall kindle them, saith the Lord; it shall leave them neither root nor branch. However for the children of God who will be found worthy, those who fear his name, the sun of righteousness will rise on them, and sickness will never have a hold on them. The presence of the victorious Christ in his Church is the source of our assurance, it is a matter of joy for anyone who serves the Word of God in his heart. Excellent Tuesday.
