Theme : " The unity of the children of God "
Text : John 17:20-23
20. It is not only for them that I pray, but also for those who will believe in me with their word, 21. that all may be one, as you, Father, are in me, and as I am in you , so that they too may be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. 22. I gave them the glory which you gave me, that they might be one as we are one, 23. I in them, and you in me, -so that they might be perfectly one, and the world know that you sent me and that you loved them as you loved me.
Let's remember:
The unity between God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is an unfailing unity that dates from age to age. It is so solid that despite the millennia that follow one another, it does not age. It is up to us to copy this marvel of unity in order to apply it in our daily lives. Jesus prayed to the Father that throughout the ages Christians would live in unity. No one should work to separate what is united by God. In other words, it would be a work of the devil because he only lives to destroy, slaughter, steal and manipulate. Jesus Christ, our Lord, has made glory available to us in order to consolidate the unity of those who would believe in his name. The unity of the children of God is based on the glory of God. This is why unity is the prerogative of those who love sincerely and without artifice. Unity cannot be tinkered with, it cannot be bartered, it cannot be forced, but it must trickle down to the flow of love that fills our hearts. The most striking example is found in God whose love never dries up or dries up. May the perfect unity found in God reverberate in us so that we may be perfectly one, and the world may know that the Father loves us just as he loves the Son. Excellent Tuesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
