Theme : " The unalterable love of God for man in distress " Text : John 6: 1-15

1. After this Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, from Tiberias. 2. A large crowd followed him, because they saw the miracles he worked on the sick. 3. Jesus went up to the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. 4. Now the Passover was near, the feast of the Jews. 5. Having lifted up our eyes, and seeing that a great crowd was coming to him, Jesus said to Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these people may have something to eat? 6. He was saying this to test him, for he knowed what he was going to do. 7. Philip answered him, The loaves of bread for two hundred denarii would not be enough for each to receive a little. 8. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him: 9. There is a young boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what is that for so many people? 10. Jesus said, Make them sit down. There was a lot of grass in this place. So they sat down, numbering about five thousand men. 11. Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were seated; likewise he gave them fish, as many as they wanted. 12. When they were satisfied, he said to his disciples, Gather up the pieces that are left over, so that nothing is lost. 13. So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the pieces that were left of the five barley loaves after all had eaten. 14. These people, having seen the miracle that Jesus had done, said, This is truly the prophet who is to come into the world. 15. And Jesus, knowing that they were going to come and take him away to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain, himself alone.

Let us remember :

During the distress, we are in front of 2 characters: Philippe and André. One thinks there is no way out in distress. The other thinks that we can move forward until God takes over. These 2 characters are our way of thinking when life stops in front of us. Human solutions have limits, but in God there are no limits. The third person to intervene in large format, when distress overwhelms us; it is God. Yes God always comes to the aid of our distress; It brings additional elements that contribute to our recovery. God uses the little we have to make it better and to give value to the work of our hands. He is the steward par excellence and in its midst it does not lack any provisions. This is why, let us not limit the love of God because it alone holds the secret code which closes the door of distress. As for us, let's stay seated and let God do it. Excellent Wednesday.
