Theme : " The secret of contemplating the glory of God " Text : Luke 9: 28-36
28. About eight days after he had said these words, Jesus took Peter, John, and James with him, and he went up on the mountain to pray. 29. While he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his garment became a brilliant white. 30. And behold, two men were talking with him: they were Moses and Elijah, 31. appearing in glory, speaking of his departure which he was about to accomplish in Jerusalem. 32. Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep; but, having kept awake, they saw the glory of Jesus and the two men who were with him. 33. As these men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, Teacher, it is good that we are here; let us pitch three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. He didn't know what he was saying. 34. As he spoke thus, a cloud came to cover them; and the disciples were terrified when they saw them entering in the cloud. 35. And out of the cloud came a voice, saying, This is my chosen Son: hear him! 36. When the voice was heard, Jesus was found alone. The disciples were silent, and told no one at that time anything that they had seen.
Let us remember :
Contemplating the glory of God smiles on those who ascend to the high places to seek the face of God. Therefore, our soul must always go higher to meet the Lord and his glory. We must leave the vulgar baseness that haunts us to rise to the sublime. We must remain spiritually awake at all times and in all places so that we do not miss a single sequence of contemplating the glory of God. The Lord always reveals himself to us; the main thing is to be attentive because this is sometimes accomplished on minimal and fleeting facts. The distraction of this century and the pleasures of this world manage to cloud our sight; to pervert our faith to the point of falling asleep when God shines his glory. If anyone ever sees the glory of God; that he refrain from saying anything; but let him worship the Eternal God. Excellent Friday and good entry into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
