Theme : " The secret of contemplating the glory of God " Text : 2 Corinthians 3: 12-18
12. Having therefore this hope, we exercise great freedom, 13. And we do not do like Moses, who put a veil over his face, so that the children of Israel do not fix their eyes on the end of this who was a passenger. 14. But they have become hard to understand. For to this day the same veil remains when they read the Old Testament, and it does not rise, because it is in Christ that it disappears. 15. Until this day, when we read Moses, a veil is cast over their hearts; 16. But when hearts are converted to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18. All of us who, with our faces uncovered, contemplate the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, we are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Lord, the Spirit.
Let us remember :
Contemplation is the process of being absorbed in the careful observation of someone or something. As for the glory of God, it is the beauty of his Spirit. It is not about aesthetic or physical beauty, but about the beauty that emanates from his character, from all that he is. To unravel the secret of contemplating the glory of God, we must first pass into the mold of the new birth; it is necessary to undergo the conversion. Man must leave his old nature to see his veil removed, a veil that covered his sight and prevented him from contemplating the glory of God. This is why about Paul's conversion it is written: “At the same instant he fell from his eyes like scales, and he received his sight. He arose, and was baptized ”. The glory of God can only be seen by a trained eye in Christ. Excellent Monday in the contemplation of His glory. Amen Alain Louz.-
