Theme : " The Retribution of the Wicked "
Text : 2 Kings 2:23-25
23. From there he went up to Bethel; and as he was going uphill, little boys came out of the town, and laughed at him. They said to him: Climb up, bald! go up, bald! 24. He turned to look at them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the forest, and tore forty-two of these children. 25. From there he went to Mount Carmel, from where he returned to Samaria.
Let's remember:
By extrapolation, we can take this message from Paul “Make no mistake: God is not being mocked. What a man sows, he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7). We do not make fun of God and his anointed ones. We must never make fun of the servants of God. Nor should we humiliate, ridicule or lynch the servants of God. God who is their employer will not rejoice that his envoys are abused. Moreover, even if the age of the detractor is low, God is free to punish in order to teach those who want to advance in the same direction. 1 Chronicles 16:22. "Touch not my anointed, and do not harm my prophets!" God protects his workers to save them from popular condemnation and the clutches of the enemy. Be careful, wickedness towards the servants of God cannot go unpunished; God will seize himself and pronounce sentences against their detractors.
