Theme: “The responsibility of the Christian in the face of violence"
Text: Proverbs 6:12-14
12. The perverse man, the iniquitous man, Walk falsehood in the mouth; 13. He blinks, talks with his foot, makes signs with his fingers; 14. Perversity is in his heart, he meditates evil at all times, he stirs up strife.
Remember:
There are several things that the devil fiddles with in the lives of God's children in order to alienate them from their loving Father. Here we mentioned: the eyes, the tongue, the hands, the heart, the feet; false witness, the spirit of discord; but nowhere are the ears to be found to hear. Some scholars say there is no cure for evil. The pervert belongs to Satan; he is animated by his spirit. His actions are evil, because his heart, the source of all kinds of evil, is corrupt. Now, from verse 16 to 19, God hates all these things, but there is a fullness of abomination before Him; the evil described in verses 12-15 has reached its peak. It is good to stretch our inner ear to listen to the Word of God in order to undergo the reparation of all our spiritual and physical misconduct. When we give our ear to hearing the Word of God, our heart will connect to the ears; he will grasp the message and put it into practice. Wickedness, perversity, violence will give way to love and peace. Excellent Sunday without violence. Amen
