Theme : "The responsibility of the Christian in the face of violence" Text: Luke 12:49-53 49. I have come to throw a fire on the earth, and what have I to desire, if it is already kindled? 50. There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how long I long for it to be accomplished! 51. Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52. For henceforth five in a house shall be divided, three against two, and two against three; 53. father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. Remember: When Jesus came into this world, if he had been received, he would have imposed peace. But his rejection paved the way for the judgment that has been running for centuries despite the appeasement felt from time to time. The rejection of Jesus had kindled the fire in the hearts and minds of those who do not believe in the Son of God. Nevertheless, Christ did the mission for which he was sent by proclaiming to sinners the love of God. Jesus fulfilled his mission to bear the sin of the misguided people. The judgment that the wicked deserved, Jesus suffered. It was this baptism that Jesus received and that no other human has ever received. In the face of violence, the Christian must preach the Word of God in order to bring about the manifestation of light in the midst of darkness; so that it reveals everything, that it shows the evil in which man finds himself. And Man in his pride sets himself up as an enemy of God, he immediately becomes a persecutor. The gospel not only brings peace, but it makes the sinner more and more wicked as his works become manifest in the light of the Word of God. Whatever, let's preach. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
