Theme: "The relationships of God's children with each other"
Text: Colossians 1:21-23
21. And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, he has now reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, 22. to present you holy and blameless and above reproach in his sight, 23. if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and steadfast, not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I Paul was made a minister.
Let us remember:
The work of the cross is a plural work. It opens us to eternal life, it reconciles us with God and with our neighbor. The symbol of the cross represented by a vertical bar demonstrates our reconciliation with God, a hyphen humanity - God. The horizontal bar is the sign of reconciliation with our neighbor. It is a hyphen human - human. The cross, by itself, already solves the problem of divisions because it brings us back to reconciliation with God but also with our neighbor. This would mean that there are no more strangers among us. There are no more Jews, Greeks, foreigners, rich, poor, big, small, strong, weak, pagans, Christians ... we all have access to the same prerogatives and privileges, if we take possession of them. The same things are available to anyone who needs them. This is a great step towards improving relations between Christians. We have become "ONE" thanks to the cross of Jesus Christ. We, who were once alienated and enemies in our minds and wicked works, have now been reconciled by Christ in the body of his flesh through death, to present us holy, blameless and above reproach in his sight. Let us remain united and steadfast, having in common faith, hope, the gospel, salvation, grace, baptism. We have the same savior and lord. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
