The reconciliation of God with his people

Sunday April 23, 2023

Theme: "The reconciliation of God with his people" Text: Ezekiel 33:10-11

10. And you, son of man, say to the house of Israel: You say: Our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and it is because of them that we are stricken with pain; how could we live? 11. Tell them: I'm alive! says the Lord GOD, what I desire is not that the wicked die, but that he change his ways and live. Come back, come back from your wrong way; and why should you die, house of Israel?

Let's remember:

It is important to recognize our guilt in the face of evil committed against God. We must of course be ashamed and afraid of it because evil separates us from our God. Only, this feeling of guilt should not block our journey because the most important thing is to recognize one's sin, to seek God's forgiveness and finally to get rid of said sin through repentance. This is the path that leads to reconciliation. Feeling guilty does not reconcile us to God; but it is already a beginning of the course not to be minimized. We must produce fruits worthy of repentance; with the strength that God gives us. Each person must approach the Eternal God to seek reconciliation because evil distances us from Him. When God forgives us, let's not cling to sins already forgiven as if to keep reminiscing. Let's leave them and change course, go upstairs and learn obedience to God. God wants each of his creatures to live reconciled to him. Even when we have committed a sin, God's will is that we live because it is He who can free us from sin and make us live. Let's live to stay on good terms with God. Let us live to remain reconciled with Him. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
