Theme: "The reconciliation of God with his people" Text: Jeremiah 33:19-26
19. The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying: 20. Thus saith the LORD: If ye be able to break my covenant with the day And my covenant with the night, So that day and night shall not be more in their time, 21. Then also shall my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall have no son reigning on his throne, and my covenant with the Levites the priests, who do my service . 22. As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who do my service. 23. The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying: 24. Have you not noticed what these people say: The two families which the LORD had chosen, he has rejected them? So they despise my people, To the point of no longer looking upon them as a nation. 25. Thus says the LORD: If I have not made my covenant with the day and with the night, Unless I have established the laws of the heavens and the earth, 26. Then also will I cast off the seed of Jacob and David my servant, and I will no longer take from his descendants those who rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captives, and I will have mercy on them.
Let's remember:
It is the season of restoration, season of reconciliation, season of recovery, season of recovery but also a season of justice. The announcement of this season is based on the seed of the Eternal, the main architect of this reconciliation. Note that God speaks to Jeremiah while he is locked up in the prison yard. Very early on, verse 3 of this chapter 33, which has the value of God's telephone number, is announced. The Lord God tells us: “Call on me, and I will answer you; I will announce great things to you, hidden things, Which you do not know”. By the way, here is God's phone number is Jeremiah 33:3. When the time of reconciliation with God arrives, our Lord provides for our healing and good health, He heals us; he opens to us an abundant source of peace and fidelity. We have everything to gain by being reconciled to God. The list of abundant graces that God grants to those who reconcile with Him cannot be exhaustive. The reconciliation of God with his people is a source of forgiveness and purification of iniquities. It is then that one becomes a subject of joy, praise and glory, the nations will be astonished and moved by it so much grace abounds. Shouts of rejoicing and cries of joy will take place. Desire reconciliation with God. Excellent Monday. Amen Alain Louz.-
