Theme : “ The practice of social justice in our homes ”
Text : Deuteronomy 6:6-9
6. And these commandments, which I give you today, will be in your heart. 7. Thou shalt inculcate them in thy children, and thou shalt speak of them when thou art in thy house, when thou goest on a journey, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8. You shall bind them as a sign on your hands, and they shall be like frontlets between your eyes. 9. You shall write them on the posts of your house and on your gates.
Let's remember:
Let us be dexterous and relevant in our homes and families. Teachings and other instructions received from God should not be neglected. Nor is it a matter of practicing them once and then abandoning them. We must perpetuate their practice but also transmit them to those around us so as not to break the chain of transmission desired by God. So, we have to start by receiving those teachings and internalizing them; keep them in our hearts. Then, practice them anytime and anywhere. Do not be afraid or ashamed to keep the commandments of God. Let us have the joy of observing them, in a disinterested way. Let's avoid doing it with the calculation of waiting for God's blessing; but live the gospel to respond to the love of God shown to us. When people would visit our homes, let them smell the fragrance of a field that the Lord has blessed. We must feel life in our homes. There are other homes where the tension is perceptible from the outside. Let us bring social justice into our lives and into our homes. Excellent Saturday. Amen Alain Louz.-
