Theme : “ The practice of social justice in our homes ”
Text : Matthew 20:26-28
26. It will not be the same among you. But whoever wants to be great among you, let him be your servant; 27. and whoever wants to be first among you, let him be your slave. 28. Thus the Son of Man came, not to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Let's remember:
Social justice is to rely on the model of our Lord Jesus Christ, who came in the position of King, but did not want to be served. On the contrary, he placed himself at the service of humanity to the point of bearing the burden of the sins of all men. Let's have this example as support to delight us in helping our neighbour, in blessing others, in not trying to crush others in order to have ascendancy over them. He who thinks himself superior to others has understood nothing of life; for it is said, “Whosoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant; and whoever wants to be first among you, let him be your slave”. We must succeed in looking at our neighbor as a fellow man and not as a subordinate or less than nothing. This concerns the family circle, the prayer community, the professional environment, and everywhere in society. Our social rank is not enough to dominate our neighbour. Jesus ended his life serving up to the cross. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
