Theme : " The power of the Word of God, a therapy for any disease and even for HIV / AIDS "
Text : 2 Kings 5: 9-14
9. Naaman came with his horses and his chariot, and he stood at the gate of Elisha's house. 10. Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash yourself in the Jordan seven times; your flesh will become healthy, and you will be clean. 11. Naaman was angry, and he went away, saying, Behold, I said to myself, He will come out to me, he will present himself, he will call on the name of the LORD his God, he will wave his hand. in the square and heal the leper. 12. Are not the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Parpar better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash myself in it and become pure? And he would turn and go with fury. 13. But his servants came near to speak to him, and said, My father, if the prophet had asked you something difficult, would you not have done it? How much more must you do what he said to you: Wash yourself, and you will be clean! 14. So he went down and dipped in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh became again like the flesh of a young child, and he was clean.
Let us remember:
By the Word of God, Elisha sent Naaman to bathe in the Jordan River to recover his healing. By the same Word, and in the same Jordan, Elisha picked up the piece of iron that had fallen there. Elisha also separated the waters of the Jordan by means of the Word of God which came out of his mouth. We retain that the Word of God can perform several miracles in the same entity like the Jordan. The power of the Word of God is limitless; its strength does not diminish and never fades. Naaman did not know that the power of the Word of God lay in his obedience and humility. He did not know that despite the mud of the Jordan, the Word of God had great power to heal him compared to great rivers cleaner than the Jordan. So even when muddy, when a water is charged with the power of the Word of God, it heals the leper; and it was so. No need to see the suffering person, even from a distance, the Word of God does not lose its power. It was not the Jordan that healed Naaman but it was the Word of God spoken by Elisha.
