Theme: “The power of praise: an asset for the liberation of the people of God” Text: Psalms 66:1-9
1. To the chief of the cantors. Song. Psalm. Shout to God for joy, all you inhabitants of the earth! 2. Sing the glory of his name, Celebrate his glory with your praises! 3. Say to God: How awesome are your works! Because of the greatness of your strength, your enemies flatter you. 4. All the earth bow down before you and sing in your honor; She sings your name. -Break. 5. Come and behold the works of God! It is formidable when it acts on the children of man. 6. He turned the sea into dry land, We crossed the river on foot: Then we rejoiced in him. 7. He rules eternally by his power, His eyes watch over the nations: Let not the rebels rise up! -Break. 8. Peoples, bless our God, make his praise resound! 9. He kept our souls alive, And he did not allow our feet to falter.
Let's remember:
A powerful praise lifted up to God makes the devil and his demons tremble. As we gladly glorify our Lord, in the devil's camp there is a rout. The agitation of the demons is visible where there is a mighty praise to God. Praise is a celebration of God at the same time it is a declaration of war; the better it is asphyxiation for the devil and his people. Praise frees the peoples who are in the prison of the devil. It shakes the walls that enclose the prisoners of the devil and sets the oppressed free. Let us make a habit of crying out to God for joy and singing the glory of his name. Let us celebrate his glory with our praises. Let us cherish the works of the Lord for they are awesome. Because of the greatness of his strength, our enemies flatter God and convert to Him. Masks and scales fall when we glorify God with mighty praise. It is quite clear that every powerful praise is an asset for the liberation of the people of God. It sets the opponent's camp in motion. People bow down before God when they sing in his honor. With our physical eyes we do not see the impact of praise but in the spiritual realm wonders are happening. The deliverances that take place during praise are the fruit of the defeat of demons. They give up the fight against the children of God because of the weight of praise lifted up to God. Even when the sea would rise before the children of God, mighty praise would dry it up. No obstacle can stand before praise. By praise, God keeps our souls alive, and does not allow our feet to falter; he delivers us. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
