Theme: “The power of praise: an asset for the liberation of the people of God” Text: Psalms 107:1-3
1. Praise the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever! 2. Thus say the redeemed of the LORD, whom he has delivered out of the hand of the enemy, 3. whom he has gathered from all countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and the sea!
Let's remember:
This psalm, along with 103, 104, 105, and 106, are part of a single small collection celebrating the grace that forgives and restores but also the power of God in resurrection. The 107 takes flight with the goodness of the Eternal manifested by his mercy; a mercy that is eternal. Mercy is a pity that pushes to forgive a guilty, a defeated; a pardon granted out of pure kindness. God loves that his people manage to let go by offering sacrifices of praise, that is to say the fruit of lips that confess his name. By confessing the Name of God with powerful praise, we elicit his reaction and therefore his intervention. The heart of God cannot resist the praise coming from a people in love with Him. In such circumstances, God comes out of his reserve and enters the scene. The power of praise becomes an asset for the liberation of the people of God. By unsheathing praise, we make use of a very powerful weapon that hastens the liberation of the people of God. Powerful praise destabilizes the enemy camp and routs the demons. The redeemed of the Lord, those whom he has delivered from the hand of the enemy, must gather around a choir of praise to the glory of El Shaddai, the almighty glorious Father. Anyone who has experienced God's deliverance should proceed to praise the one who delivered him. In any corner of the world, let us powerfully celebrate the Lord who has delivered us from every kind of hold of the enemy. Let us make our praise powerful and consistent by putting our hearts into it so that it produces the desired effects. Excellent Wednesday. Amen Alain Louz.-
