Theme: “The Life of Daniel

Text: Daniel 6:7-10

7. All the heads of the kingdom, the stewards, the satraps, the counselors, and the governors are of opinion that a royal edict be published, with a severe prohibition, stipulating that anyone, within the space of thirty days, who prays to any god or man, except you, O king, will be thrown into the lions' den. 8. Now, O king, confirm the defense, and write the decree, that it may be irrevocable, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which is immutable. 9. Thereupon King Darius wrote the decree and the defense. 10. When Daniel knew that the decree was written, he retired to his house, where the windows of the upper room were open toward Jerusalem; and three times a day he knelt down, he prayed, and he praised his God, as he did before.

Let's remember:

Daniel is truly a model of probity, faith and therefore obedience to God. His detractors could find no occasion or anything to rebuke, because he was faithful, and no fault or anything bad was seen in him. He was rigorous in his actions and did not indulge in levity. Daniel was faithful to his God and the Lord had given him grace to the point where he surpassed the leaders and satraps. God had placed in him a superior spirit; and the king understood this well, he was thinking of establishing it throughout the kingdom to ensure the coordination of activities. This aroused the jealousy of several leaders who were his subordinates. They united to plot a crime against him which would put him in conflict with the king. As they could find no occasion, nor anything to reprove, because he was faithful, they engaged in the area of his faith. They invented an offense that would put Daniel in trouble regarding the law of his God. But God is alive and he sees everything. By the Spirit of God, Daniel already had the revelation of their plan. He did not tremble, he did not deny his faith, he did not hide to pray, he did not close his window before praying. Daniel did not reduce the frequency of his prayers. In a word, he did not flinch in the face of adversity. Have a great Tuesday. Amen
