Theme : “ The joy of living is in the presence of Christ ”
Text : 2 Kings 7:3-8
3. There were at the entrance of the gate four lepers, who said to each other: What! will we stay here until we die? 4. If we think of entering the city, famine is in the city, and we will die there; and if we stay here, we will also die. Let's throw ourselves into the camp of the Syrians; if they let us live, we will live and if they kill us, we will die. 5. So they departed at dusk, to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they came to the entrance of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no one there. 6. The Lord had caused in the camp of the Syrians to be heard the noise of chariots and the noise of horses, the noise of a great army, and they said to one another, Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to come and attack us. 7. And they arose and fled at dusk, leaving their tents, and their horses, and their asses, the camp as it was, and they fled for their lives. 8. The lepers, having arrived at the entrance of the camp, entered a tent, ate and drank, and took away silver, gold, and clothes, which they went to hide. They came back, entered another tent, and took away some objects that they went to hide.
Let's remember:
If a Christian thinks he has lost the joy of living, if he complains about it; it is that he knows nothing of the marvels of God. As we make our bizarre calculations, God is working to rout those who have blocked our emancipation. When the time comes, the Lord God will open our way and our intelligence to lead us to go and collect the spoils that await us. This is why we are told; never complain about our fate; our God works in our place; let's keep silent. Let's be in prayer and not in worry mode. Those who trust in the Lord recover the joy once lost. They reap what they did not sow. John 4:38. “I have sent you to reap what you have not worked; others have worked, and you have entered into their work”. Let's not lose hope, let's not lose the joy of living until the Lord has said his last word. Matthew 6:26. Look at the birds of the sky: they neither sow nor reap, and they do not lay up anything in barns; and your Heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth much more than them? Excellent Saturday.
