Theme : “ The joy of living is in the presence of Christ ”
Text : John 17:20-24
20. It is not only for them that I pray, but also for those who will believe in me with their word, 21. that all may be one, as you, Father, are in me, and as I am in you , so that they too may be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. 22. I have given them the glory which you have given me, that they may be one as we are one, - 23. I in them, and you in me, - that they may be perfectly one, and the world know that you sent me and that you loved them as you loved me. 24. Father, I want where I am those you have given me to be with me also, that they may see my glory, the glory you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Let's remember:
The true joy of living to which each child of God must aspire is that which will never end, that which is eternal, that which is experienced before the divine throne, in the kingdom of God. Down here, “We groan in this tent, desiring to put on our heavenly home” 2 Corinthians 5.2. Our earthly pilgrimage is made of joys and sorrows, please God to multiply our days of joy in his presence because eternal life must already begin while we are in this mortal tent. In the same chapter 17 of John in verse 3 it is said: "And eternal life is that they know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent". Thus, accepting God as the only savior and lord is a guarantee of immense joy, more vivid than the joy of being a billionaire. This is why this joy will continue in the heavenly city where Jesus awaits us; when we finish our short pilgrimage on this earth. Let us aspire to this joy available in the holy place, in the physical presence of God our Father and of Jesus Christ; there will be an ineffable or indescribable joy. Excellent Wednesday of joy in the presence of God. Amen Alain Louz.-
