Topic: “The Hope of God’s Children”
Text: John 16:20-23
20. Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You will be sad, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. 21. A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow, because her hour has come; but when she has given birth, she remembers no more the pain, for the joy that a man has been born into the world. 22. So you also now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23. In that day you will no longer ask me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father, he will give it to you in my name.
Let us remember:
The hope of God's children must be firm and continual. It must not diminish in intensity since we have a God who keeps control of all life. We are his people and the flock of his pasture. We belong to him and nothing can separate us from his love, manifested in his Son Jesus. Even if we go through times of hardship, let us remember that this serves our edification and our fortification. It is so that our faith has stable and deep foundations, it is to garnish our hope in our savior. When a child of God suffers, the world mocks him and even rejoices in his suffering. It mocks our hope, our faith. May this not weaken us. Let us keep our hope fixed in Jesus because there is a time for everything. Let us not cry anymore, let us wipe away our tears and have a firm hope in Jesus the son of God. Let us not lament anymore, let us not turn worried glances. Let us keep our firm hope in God. Our sadness will change into joy on the day wanted by Jesus. The pains of childbirth will give way to the joy of having changed status. Let us know that we will see Jesus face to face and our heart will rejoice, and no one will take away our joy. Let us keep the hope that our eyes will see Jesus. Excellent Saturday. Amen
