Theme: "The Hope of God's Children"
Text: Revelation 14:13
13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on! Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, for their works follow them.
Let us remember:
God will not forget the works we have accomplished in this world. A reward is reserved for each person for his work accomplished. However, the problem of the quality of work will arise. How do we work in God's field? Are we zealous and diligent? Do we work with a good heart? We will be very well rewarded if our works are wonderful. The good we do is recorded in the book of memories. A person who saves his money will have a better tomorrow than one who squanders his possessions. Likewise, a farmer who fills his granary will never cry famine. Ants work hard in summer to make provisions that they eat in winter. So it is with those who have good works in this world. These good works are a kind of savings in God's granary. On the day of death, they will have a heavenly heritage credited to them. These works will act as an advocate to defend their cause. However, they must die in Christ, in their days of holiness. To die in Christ is to be obedient to God until the last breath. Then comes rest, a precious moment without torment. The dead in Christ enter into rest. Let us keep the hope that our works will live forever, and that there is an eternal rest for us. Let us have a good rating with God. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen
