Theme: “The hope of God’s children”
Text: 1 John 3:2-3
2. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it has not yet appeared what we will be; but we know that, when he appears, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. 3. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
Let us remember:
The hope of God’s children must always be well preserved and maintained. God’s love is always available and inexhaustible for anyone who keeps their hope in Him. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:8. “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God. 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast." And yet, we have the duty to keep our hope in Jesus, our Savior and Lord. He promised to go and prepare a place for us so that we may be with Him in the kingdom of His Father. This hope, we possess it as an anchor of the soul, sure and solid. This powerful encouragement comes to boost our hope, knowing that all the promises of Jesus are fulfilled and will still be fulfilled; because it is not possible for God to lie. Let us therefore do our best to watch over our faith and our hope so that they do not fail. We are his workmanship, having been created in Jesus Christ for good works, which God prepared in advance, so that we should walk in them. Let us purify ourselves so that our hope is always intact. We are children of God, and our hope is to be like Jesus, when we see him. Excellent Wednesday. Amen
