Theme : " The Holy God wants us to be holy "
Text : Exodus 20: 12-15
12. Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 13. Thou shalt not kill. 14. Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15. Thou shalt not steal.
Let us remember:
The days of our lives will be prolonged when we honor our father and mother. Love promotes obedience to parents according to the Lord because this is right. This commandment is supported by the promise of longevity and a happy life here on earth. We don't have a good deal of love in our hearts; therefore we kill, steal, commit adultery and fornication. Now, it happens to steal the man or the woman of our neighbor; to commit adultery; result in pregnancy and abortion. There are three in one there. We even kill some lives by taking away what they had most precious. We are killing people's imaginations; or their faith; or their projects; or their hope; or their loyalty. We kill with false preaching, bad advice. As for adultery, it can also be committed by lust. Let us be saints in order to live far from all sin; our God is holy.
